Gail Marie (Mennes) Schuman
January 14, 1970 - October 27, 2014Gail "Gailby" Schuman, 44, passed away on Monday, October 27, 2014 at the University of Iowa Hospital, in Iowa City.
A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, November 1, 2014 at the American Legion Hall in Maxwell, Iowa; 77 Main Street, Maxwell, Iowa 50161.
Gail Marie Schuman was born January 1, 1970 to Tom and Becky (Markley) Mennes in Des Moines, IA. She was a graduate of Collins Maxwell High School, where her classmates will remember her off colored sense of humor.
Gail enjoyed working with her hands, dancing, singing karaoke, and spending time with kids. She will be remembered for her knowledge of mechanics, her ability to tell a good story ("spin a good yarn") or her silly love of "B" movies, but most of all those who knew "Gailby" will remember her selfless nature, and unwavering hope and drive.
Gail is survived by Katy and Alora Cox of Maxwell, Sisters; Julie (Chad) Cox of Maxwell, Tonya Mennes of Maxwell, and Jennifer Mennes of Ames, Nieces; Mariya Mennes, Page Walls, Janett (Brandon McCreery) Rose, and Nephew; Carlton Mennes. Gail was preceded in death by her Parents Tom and Becky (Markley) Mennes.
