MARY SAMSON
Mary Elizabeth Samson, 62, of Nevada, died Sunday, April 12, 1981 at Des Moines General Hospital.
She was born March 31, 1919, the daughter of Rinehart and Eva Ploeger. She received her education at Des Moines High School and Drake University. She taught school at Shipley for several years, worked at the Polk County Courthouse and was employed by Massey Ferguson Co. in Des Moines before retiring for medical reasons in 1977. She was marred to Russell Samson.
In 1977, she moved back to Nevada from Indianola where she had lived for 27 years.
She was a member of the Alpah Ze Delta Sorority.
Mrs. Samson is survived by a daughter, Sheila Morris of Huntington Beach, Calif., a sister, Mrs. Lucile Huddelston of Kansas City, Mo. and two grandchildren, Rhonda and Jeanette. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Russell in 1977.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 15, at 1:30 at the Ryan Funeral Home, Nevada, with Fr. James Supple officiating. Burial will follow in the Nevada Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Ryan Funeral Home from Tuesday morning.
