Floyd E. Davis
Oct. 20, 1907 to May 26, 1998

Floyd E. Davis, 90, of Nevada aide Tuesday, May 26, at Story County Long Term Care Facility in Nevada from complications of Alzheimer's Disease.

He was born Oct. 20, 1907, in Shonea, Ill., to Edwin and Eva (Feit) Davis. He was united in marriage to Ethel A. Burley on Jan. 1, 1934, on a farm north of Nevada. He had attended North Grant School and graduated from the Ames High School in 1925. He farmed for more than 50 years in the Nevada area. He was affiliated with the Memorial Lutheran Church of Nevada.

Survivors include his wife, Ethel of Nevada; a daughter, Shirley Bauge of Huxley; a sister, Ellen Huss of Des Moines; two brothers, Eldon Davis of Burke, Va., and Orville Davis of Roland; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Lawrence Davis; and a sister, Alberta Campoy.

Visitation will be held today (May 28) from 10 a.m.-8:30 p.m. The family will be present at the Bacon Funeral Home, Nevada, from 7-8:30 p.m. to receive friends and relatives. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Bacon Funeral Home with Pastor Ellen Taube of Memorial Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Heartland Senior Services of Ames.
