William "Bill" Steward

William "Bill" Steward, 47, Nevada, died Tuesday Feb. 12, at Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames.

Mr. Steward was born March 10, 1932 in Nevada to Clyde and Grace Boller Steward. He graduated from Nevada High School in 1950 and married Janice Coon Aug. 24, 1972 in Des Moines.

He was a lifelong Nevada resident and worked in the Department of Transportation's Road Design Department.

Mr. Steward is survived by his wife, Janice, and three daughters, Noelle, Linda and Laura.

He was preceded in death by his father in June 1977 and mother in June 1979, and one infant brother, Richard.

The funeral will be Friday, Feb. 15 at 2 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada. Rev. Charles Terrell will officiate and burial will be in Nevada Cemetery.

The family requests that memorial go to the Cancer Foundation.
