OBITUARY

Death of Milo Fantz

Milo Fantz, son of Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Fantz, died at the family home just west of Nevada at 4:30 this morning after a long and hopeless illness. He was a young man of much promise until his health failed; but for many months he had been a victim of tuberculosis of the spinal cord, and his case had been recognized by family and friends as one for which there was no relief. The end had come, therefore, much as a release from suffering, but a sad release. The funeral will be held at the house next Friday afternoon at 2:30. Service by Rev. J. W. Iverson of Ames.

The funeral of Milo Fantz was held at the Fantz home west of town Friday afternoon, service being conducted by Rev. J. W. Iverson of Ames, assisted by Rev. Wilson of the same town. A trio consisting of Mrs. Winsett, Miss Lola Fifer and Mr. Geo. Klove sang, assisted by Mrs. Larson at the instrument; Miss Addie Tika, a friend of the family from Cedar Rapids sang a solo; the six sisters of the deceased assisted as the pall bearers; and interment was in the cemetery which the Fantz home overlooks. There was a goodly attendance of sympathetic relatives and friends, those from out of town being Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Gring of Dow Center, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Person and Mr. Otis Henry of Carlisle; Mr. and Mrs. Will Fantz of Missouri; also Mrs. W. E. Henry and son Harvey and Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Henry all of Carlisle; Mr. Will Fantz being a brother of the bereaved father, as is also Mr. Charles Fantz who resides in the home, and Mesdames W. E. Henry and D. E. Henry being sisters of the same.
