Obituary
Ray H. Tillotson, son of William and Lidia Tillotson was born at Cambridge, Iowa, March 8, 1874 and departed this life at the Mary Greeley hospital 4:00 p. m., June 23.
Mr. Tillotson had been in poor health for several years with heart complications. He was taken to Ames hospital Tuesday where he passed away Friday afternoon June 23, at the age of 76 years, three months and 15 days. He grew to manhood here in Story county and lived most of this life in the county.
He was united in marriage in Mary Bunday at Des Moines in the year of 1898 and to this union were born six children, five daughter and one son. His wife and infant daughter preceded him in death November of 1919.
On April 2, 1924 he was united in marriage to Alta Rush. To this union was born one son, Raymond Lee, who preceded his father in death.
Survivors
Rush Tillotson of Nevada, one son, Donald of Nevada and four daughters, Mrs. Eva Zook, Nevada, Mrs. Elva Kirkpatrick, Clarksdale, Ariz.; Mrs. Marjorie Oxley of Nevada and Mrs. Gladys Darby of Cedar Rapids.
He also leaves three brothers and two sisters. The brothers are Ed of Nevada, Jake of Marshalltown and Dave of Riceville. The sisters are Mrs. Sylvia Flora of Los Angeles, Calif. and Mrs. Amy Banks of Nevada.
He leaves 30 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren, besides other relatives and host of friends.
