McCallsburg Man Killed in Illinois

Special to the Tribune-Times.
NEVADA—Tom Conway of McCallsburg was killed outright Wednesday morning when the poultry truck he was driving was hit by a train at. a crossing near Oak Park, 111. His companion, John Bergman also of McCallsburg. Is reported to be in a serious condition in an Oak Park hospital. The two men were returning from Chicago where they had gone with a load of poultry, when the fatal accident occurred. Conway's body is being returned to the Bishop funeral home here.

ACCIDENT NEVADA—Funeral services for Tom Conley of McCallsburg, who was killed In an accident near Oak Park, Ill., Wednesday morning were conducted from the Bishop funeral home here at 11 a. m. Sunday with the Rev. C. E. Lookingbill in charge. Burial was in the Nevada cemetery.

Conley was killed instantly, and his companion, John Bergman, also of McCallsburg, was seriously injured, when the poultry truck in which they were riding was struck by a train at a crossing near Oak Park. The two men were enroute to Chicago with a load of poultry. Bergman is confined to an Oak Park hospital. Conley is survived by his wife and six sons.
