Mildred Lee Bricker, daughter of J. M. and Mildred Bricker, departed this life Friday, Jan. 20, aged nine months. Funeral services were held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank McLain, grandparents of the deceased, and were attended by a large circle of sympathizing relatives, neighbors and friends. Revs. Shruder and Innis conducted the services. Mr. Frank Ingalls and Mrs. Frank Kennedy sang appropriate selections. An additional element of sorrow entered into the sad event because of the absence of the father, Mr. J. M. Bricker, in Alaska. He left for the Kotzbue Sound when little Mildred was but a few days old; no word can be sent for some months. In this double bereavement Mrs. Bricker has the sincere sympathy of many friends. In such sad mystery the human spirit can do naught but bow in submission and say: "Thy will be done." For many loving oft grateful remembrance by the mother and grandparents.
