Phyllis M. Frette
June 24, 1923 - May 20, 2014

Phyllis was born June 24, 1923 in Allendorf, Iowa to Chris H. and Theresa (Symens) Schutt. Phyllis went to high school, and then college to get her Masters degree in library science at the University of Minnesota. Phyllis married Merle S. Frette on July 10, 1961 in Minneapolis, MN.

She worked for the city of Ames as their Librarian. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and lived in Story City since 1961. Phyllis enjoyed stamp collecting and volunteering at the Immanuel Church library.

Phyllis M. Frette, 90, of Story City died May 20, 2014 at Bethany Manor in Story City.

Phyllis is survived by her husband of 52 years, Merle Frette of Story City and a sister Norma J. Schutt of Los Alamos, NM.

She is preceded in death by: her parents, a sister Dorothy Hielkema and a brother Maynard Schutt.

Memorials may be made out the Immanuel Church Library.
