WILLIAM DALE WARDRIP
Services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in Nevada's Ryan Funeral Home for a past Nevada businessman, William D. Wardrip who was pronounced dead early this morning after suffering an apparent heart attack at his home. He died at the Story County Hospital at the age of 66.
Born November 13, 1906 to William and Lucy Wardrip, he married Ramona Louise Hall almost thirty years later on April 21, 1936 in Des Moines. Brought into the world in rural Dallas County, he had served as Chairman, Board of Trustees of Central Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife Ramona; on son, William David Wardrip of Butler, Missouri; one daughter, Mrs. John (Donna Mae) Walther of Renwick, Iowa; two brothers, Jay of Osakis, Minnesota and Clyde of Mason City; one sister, Mrs. Otto McCoy of Superior, Iowa; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
Rev. David Shaeffer will officiate the services with burial in the Nevada Cemetery.
