Faye Yorgensen
Dec. 4, 1904-Dec. 31, 1994Faye Yorgensen, 90, of Boone, died Saturday of complications of a stroke at the Evangelical Free Church Home in Boone, where she had been a resident since 1991. Services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Boone, with the Rev. Richard Harken officiating. Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery in Nevada.
Faye Farrier was born in Joplin, Mo., to James and Belle (Whitaker) Farrier. She married Harry Niels Yorgensen in Osborne, Kan., on Nov. 15, 1921. The couple farmed in the Story and Boone County area, and in 1974, moved to Boone. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Boone.
She is survived by a daughter, Peggy Gus of Boone; five grandchildren; and a sister, Beulah Iseminger of Greeley, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1983, two sons, a grandson, a great-grandson, four brothers and a sister.
Visitation is today until 9 p.m. at the Stark-Welin Chapel in Boone, and will continue at the church on Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. until service time. The family will be present at the funeral home today from 6 to 8 p.m.
