J. N. FREELAND

J. N. Freeland, of Nevada, died at Iowa sanitarium Monday from complications from which he had bee a sufferer for some time.

In the immediate family Mr. Freeland liaves his wife and her aged mother; two grandson John and Garrett Freeland and his daughter-in-law Mrs. Beulah Freeland. The only son, Ansel Freeland died in Nevada a number of years ago.

He also leaves three brothers and one sister, besides other relatives.

He came to Nevada in 1921 form Mount Ayr, where he had been for many years engaged in the mercantile business from which he had retired.

Later the illness and subsequent death of the son drew him back into activity as manager of the store. He has since been connected with the business although the responsibility had been gradually shifting to the shoulders of the grandson John Freeland Jr.
