ALMA CAROLINE MYERS

Alma Caroline Myers, 86, of Nevada IA, died Saturday, March 19, 1988, at Story County Hospital Long Term Care Unit in Nevada. Death was due to pneumonia.

Mrs. Myers was born July 29, 2901 at Huxley IA to Weir Ritland and Hanna Severaide.

She was married to Clifford Myers Jan. 19, 1921, at Huxley.

She was a lifelong resident of Story County and was homemaker.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Nevada.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 22, at 2 p.m. at Cooper-Ryan Funeral Home, 5th and Lincoln Hwy., Nevada with Rev. William Ballard of the United Methodist Church in Nevada officiating. Interment will be in Nevada Municipal Cemetery, Nevada.

Survivors include a son, Gerald Myers of West Lake Village CA; three daughters, Ethel Franklin of Cambridge IA, Grace Myers of Ames IA and Maxine Switzer of Tucson AZ; two sisters, Evelyn Christiansen of Ft. Myers FL and Sylvia Sesker of Madrid IA; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Weir and Hanna Ritland; her husband, Clifford Myers, and a son, Ronald Myers, who died in 1972.
