Nevadan found dead in auto

Neil M. Cockshoot, 18, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mort W. Cockshoot, Nevada, was found dead in an automobile on a county road near Nevada shortly after noon Saturday.

Law enforcement officials said the youth's body was found in an automobile parked on a county road about three miles south and one and one-half miles east of Nevada about 12:50 p.m.

The death was still under investigation, said a spokesman for the county sheriff's office. County medical examiner Dr. Donald W. Powers was called to the scene.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. from the Nevada United Methodist Church of Nevada with the Rev. Harry Myklebust officiating. Burial is to be in Nevada Cemetery. The Ryan Funeral Home, Nevada, is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include the youth's parents, two brothers, two sisters and his maternal grandmother.
