Louise Esther Long
Aug. 14, 1901 to Jan. 17, 1997Louise Esther Long, 95, of Nevada, died from complications of renal failure on Friday, Jan. 18, at Story County Long Term Care, where she had resided since April of 1990.
She was born Aug. 14, 1901, to Abram and Arminta (Page) Anderson at Blencoe.
On March 12, 1926, she married Kenneth A. Long in Sioux City. She lived as a homemaker, and had lived in Nevada since 1955. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Richland Garden Club.
Survivors include a daughter, Frances (and Richard) Henry, of Nevada; two grandsons, Michael Henry, of Dayton, Ohio, and Steve Henry, of Nevada; three great grandchildren, Scott, Kyle and Eric, all of Nevada; one brother and two sisters.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Kenneth in 1962, three brothers and one sister.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 21, at Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada with Pastor Brad Braley officiating. Burial was in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established.
