EFFIE WINIFRED HANSON

Effie Winifred Hanson, 87, of 630 6th St., Nevada IA, died Wednesday, March 26, 1986 at Mary Greeley Medical Center, Ames IA.

She was born Oct. 17, 1898, in Union Township, Story County IA to Eugene and Jennie Chase Barker.

She was married to Howard Johnson. He died in 1941. She was married to Alfred Hanson in 1946. He died November 11, 1981.

Mrs. Hanson had lived in Nevada since 1941, the last five years in Long Term Care at Story County Hospital.

Mrs. Hanson had been a housewife. She belonged to the Daughters of Union Veterans and the Rebekkah Lodge.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 31 at Cooper-Ryan Funeral Home, 5th St. and Lincoln Hwy., Nevada, with a United Methodist minister officiating. Interment will be in Nevada Cemetery.

Mrs. Hanson's survivors include two stepdaughters, June Link of Nevada and Helen Goodyears of Redwood Falls MN; a grandson, Kenneth Poush of Los Angeles CA, and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Evelyn Darlene Poush in 1969; two brothers, Glen and Earl Barker, and two sisters, Cora Huff and Jessie Warwick.

Musical selections at the funeral will include "Beautiful Garden of Prayer" and "Just a Closer Walk with Thee."
