Dr. R. M. Shipman, Ames, officiated at the funeral services for Addie Lookingbill, which were held Thursday at the Nevada Methodist church at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Harold Smith, Fernald, assisting.
Mr. Harry Sutherland sang, "Saved by Grace" and "Sunrise" with Mrs. Norman Dobson accompanying a the organ. Flower bearers were Mrs. L. R. Bassett, Mrs. C. A. Ryan and Mrs. H. M. Vinsel.
Casket bearers were Frank Doolittle, Rhiner Hondred, Hack Horness, Ray McHose, Carl Stone and H. M. Vinsel. Burial was in the family lot in the Nevada cemetery.
Addie Reitz Lookingbill was born on a farm southwest of Ames, daughter of Story County pioneers Conrad and Elizabeth Reitz. She died Sunday at the age of 80 years.
She married Conrad Lookingbill September 26, 1900 at Maxwell. The Lookingbills lived in Nevada the past 39 years where she was a member of the Methodist church, Rebekah Lodge and Order of Eastern Star and White Shrine Chapter of Ames.
Friends from out of town attending the services were from Des Moines, Ames, Boone, Iowa Falls, Grinnell, Perry, Jewell, State Center, Maxwell, Collins, Cambridge, Colo, Zearing, Yale and Fernald.
