Willis Edward New
March 17, 1926 to Feb. 24, 2000Willis Edward New, 73, of Nevada, died of complications of pneumonia on Thursday, Feb. 24, at Story County Long Term Care in Nevada, where he had been a resident for the past three years.
He was born March 17, 1926, in Nevada to Harry and Eunice (Conder) New. he was a farmer and a member of the Memorial Lutheran Church in Nevada and the Farm Bureau. He was a lifelong resident of Nevada and enjoyed drinking coffee at coffee shops.
Survivors include his cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 28, at Chet Ryan Mortuary, Nevada, with Pastor Ellen Taube officiating. Burial followed in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established for the Memorial Lutheran Church in Nevada.
