Effie Ayers
Sept. 9, 1889 to July 8, 1993

Effie Belle Ayers, 103, of Nevada died of kidney failure at Story County Hospital.

She was born in Marshall County to George and Addie (Fry) Taylor. She married Samuel A. Ayers on June 3, 1908, in Nevada. She lived in Ellendale, Minn., for nine years and the remaining years in Nevada. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include to daughters, Norma Briley of Nevada and Lola Dirksen of Waterloo, one brother, Ray Taylor of Nevada, one sister, Josie Hoel of Nevada, five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Ayers; an infant son; her parents and nine brothers and sisters.
