OBITUARY

Annie Thomsen

Annie Caroline Thomsen daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oman Larson was born Dec. 25, 1886 at Wiota, Iowa. She died at her home in Nevada, Aug. 23, after a year's illness of multiple myeloma, at the age of 68 years, 7 months and 29 days.

She was baptized and confirmed in the Norway Center Lutheran church near Wiota.

On Feb. 14, 1912, she was married to Chris Thomsen in the home of her parents. The couple had two daughters and a son.

Mr. and Mrs. Thomson farmed in the Wiota and Elk Horn communication for 12 years, moving to Story county 1924. Three months ago they moved from the farm to their home at 605 Ninth in Nevada.

Mrs. Thomsen was a member of Bethesda Lutheran church in Ames since 1925.

Surviving are her husband; son Clifford, Nevada; two daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Jacobson (Vera), Ames; Mrs. Harley Hylbak (Lucille), Richland, Wash., and 10 grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Belle Larson, Atlantic; Mrs. Julie Thompson, Atlantic; and her twin sister, Mrs. Ellen Runyon of Portland, Ore. she was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services were held Aug. 25 at Ryan funeral home in Nevada with the Rev. Lowell I. Torgerson, Jr., of Bethesda Lutheran officiating. Mrs. Harry Sutherland sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Nearer My God To Thee". Accompanist was Mrs. Norman Dobson.

Pallbearers were K. D. Allen, Harve Jensen, G. L. Osborn, Marion Ruby, Pete Sorenson and Marvin Smith, Sr. Burial was in the Nevada Cemetery.
