DAVID THORSTON SWANSON

David Thorston "Thor" Swanson, 90, of 1228 5th St., Nevada IA, died Thursday, April 10, 1986, at Story County Hospital, Nevada.

Death was attributed to heart disease.

He was born May 12, 1895, at Galva IL to Benjamin and Elizabeth Larson Swanson and was educated in Utica IL and Story County IA schools.

He was married Dec. 11, 1918, in Story County to Clela New. He lived in Illinois as a child, then in Nevada and Fernald most of his life. He farmed in the Fernald area until 1960 then retired to Nevada.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 12, at Cooper-Ryan Funeral Home, 5th St. and Lincoln Hwy., Nevada.

Mr. Swanson's survivors include his wife, Clela; nieces, Isabel Larson of Ames and Norma Swanson of Des Moines, and a brother, C.S. (Con) Swanson of Nevada.
