ISABEL GEORGINA JORDAN
Isabel Georgina (Mrs. George) Jordan, 93, of Nevada died Sunday, June 9, 1985, at Long Term Care, Story County Hospital, Nevada, Ia.
She was born Jan 10, 1892, on a farm near Duncomb, Ia., to Hans O. and Julia R. (Iverson) Johnson. She attended county school north of Cambridge.
She was married March 16, 1910 at her parents' home near Shipley, Ia., to George P. Jordan. He died in 1979.
When Isabel was a child her family moved from Duncomb to the Shipley area. She retired from the farm and moved to Huxley in 1964. The last seven years had been spent at Long Term Care in Nevada.
Mrs. Jordan lived on a farm most of her life.
She was confirmed in the Nazareth Lutheran Church at Cambridge at the age of 13. At the time of her death she was a member of Fjeldberg Lutheran Church at Huxley.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, at Fjeldberg Lutheran Church, Huxley, with Merlin Morris officiating. Interment will be in Nevada Cemetery, Nevada, Ia.
Survivors include two sons, Harvey Jordan of Huxley and Lawrence Jordan of Ames, Ia.; two daughters, Anita (Mrs. Robert) Bell of Des Moines, Ia., and Lois (Mrs. Allen) Christensen of Madrid, Ia.; two sisters, Minnie Sandwick of Adelanta, Calif. and Bessie Henderson of Story City, Ia.; 14 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren.
Her husband, George, died May 16, 1979. She was also preceded in death by three sons, Ronald, Roy and Grant; brive brothers and four sisters.
