GLENN MALLORY SR.
Glenn R. Mallory Sr., 62, of Ankeny, died Oct. 6, 1981, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Des Moines of S.L.E. Disease, after a one-year illness.
He was born in Nevada, Iowa and had lived in Nevada, Ames, Des Moines, Jefferson and Ankeny. He was a farmer, owned a farm equipment sales company and had owned the Nevada Locker Plant for six years.
Mr. Mallory is survived by his wife, Ruth; a daughter, Linda Bortz of Jefferson; two sons, MSgt. Glenn R. Mallory Jr. of Honolulu, Hawaii and Dave E. Mallory of Erie, Col.; his mother Edna Mallory of Ankeny; a brother Clifford Mallory of Bakersfield, Calif.; two sisters, Arlene Teigland of Northridge, Calif. and Dorothy Pearce of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Ankeny Funeral Home, with burial in the Nevada Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established with Camp Sunnyside or the American Heart Association.
