Died Nov. 15, 1995

Henry L. Borts, 81, of Indianola, died Wednesday, Nov. 15, due to complications of cancer at Mercy Hospital Medical Center, Des Moines.

He was born at Valeria. A retired farmer, he had lived in rural Indianola since 1977 and prior to that had lived in rural Zearing for many years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Indianola, of the Rolling Wheels Car Club in Boone, of the Early Wheels Car Club in Des Moines and of the Tall Corn Car Club in Marshalltown.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Borts of Indianola; one brother, Doyle Borts of Indianola; one sister, Donna Wilson of Des Moines; one step-son, James Hahn of Malibu, Calif.; one step-daughter, Lucille Kazakes of Santa Monica, Calif.; and four step-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 18, at First United Methodist Church in Indianola. Burial was on Saturday at the Nevada Municipal Cemetery, Nevada. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, Indianola. Overton Funeral Home handled arrengements.
