Mrs. Williams, Nevada, died
Mrs. Effie "Betty" Williams, 85, Nevada, died Saturday at North Grand Care Center.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday from Adams Funeral Home, with the Rev. William Overhulser officiating. Burial will be in Nevada Cemetery.
Mrs. Williams was born May 7, 1887, in Kenney, Ill. She had lived in Nevada nearly 60 years and was a member of the United Methodist Church there.
She married Thomas Blakemore, who preceded her in death. In 1955 she married Lester Williams.
Survivors include her husband, Lester; two sons, Raymond Blakemore, Hinsdale, Ill., and Kenneth Blakemore, Westmont, Ill.; two daughters, Elmora Woodall, Walnut Creek, Calif., and Mrs. Lucille Sills, 926 Wilson Ave; a step-son, Thomas Williams, Waterloo; two step-daughters, Mrs. Ruth Hancock and Mrs. Lou Rundell; a brother, John Ely, St. Charles, Mo.; three sisters, Mrs. Nellie Wesley, Brentwood, Mo.; Mrs. Fern Maupin and Mrs. Minnie Shultz, both of St. Claire, Mo.; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter and an infant son.
Friends may call at Adams Funeral Home, Monday until time of service.
A memorial has bee established for the multiple sclerosis foundation. Gifts may be left at the Union Story Trust and Savings Bank.
