Mrs. Fawcett Sr. Died as Result of Accident Injuries

Mrs. Hannah S. Fawcett, 93, earlier day resident of Story county, died Thursday [February 17, 1938] in a hospital at Pasadena, Calif., as a result of injuries sustained in a fall a few days previous, in which the bones of one shoulder were broken.

A. J. Fawcett, on of her sons, left last night for Los Angeles, to be present at the final rites for the mother, which will be held there and burial will be by the side of her husband, the late S. S. Fawcett, who died there several years ago.

Mr. and Mrs. Fawcett Sr. and their unmarried daughter, Jennie E., had moved to California many years ago, after having lived on a farm north of Collins for twenty years or more.

There they lived until the death of the husband, after which the mother and daughter continued that home for some time a Pasadena, but more recently had been living at San Merino, a suburb of Los Angeles.

She leaves the two sons, Edgar A. Fawcett and A. J. Fawcett, both of Nevada, and the daughter, Miss Jennie E. Fawcett of Los Angeles.
