John Eddy Northway Sr.

INDIANOLA, IA. – Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Hamilton’s Funeral Home for John Eddy Northway Sr., 50, of Indianola, who died of cancer Friday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines.

He had lived in Indianola for 22 years, coming from Des Moines, where he was born. He was a self-employed carpenter and was a National Guard Veteran.

Surviving are his wife, Sharon; a daughter, Tracy Lewis of Indianola; a son, John Jr. of Indianola; a brother, Everett James of Oskaloosa; seven sisters, Susie Goerner of Fernald, Ruth Marsh of Spickard, Mo., and Hattie McPherson, Elenora Fields, Dorothy Ellis, RoseMary Eveland and Dollie Watters, all of Des Moines; and a grandchild. ~ The Des Moines (IA) Register, Tues 21 Mar 1989.
