Fred J. Neasham, 69, retired Nevada business man, died at his home 912 Eighth street shortly after midnight after a lingering illness.

Funeral rites for Mr. Neasham who had been a resident of Nevada since a lad of 7 years when he came to America with his mother and other members of the family from England where he was born May 20, 1873, will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 from the Moorfoot Funeral home, followed by burial in the Nevada cemetery.

Mr. Neasham had been in failing health for two years or more and had submitted to several surgical operations in an effort to effect a recovery, but for the past several months head been confined in his home much of th time under the care of a trained nurse.

Mr. Neacham, a native of England, came to America with his mother, his brothers, Thomas and John William Neasham and his only sister, Mary, now Mrs. W. O. Ambrose of Wheaton, Ill.

Following in the footsteps of his uncle, William Hansel and his brother, John William Neasham, he engaged in the jewelry business for several years, but in the retail trade and as a traveling salesman. Retiring from this line he later engaged in the real estate business which line of endeavor he continued until his health made it necessary for him to retire.

He was united in marriage to Alice Ambrose in Nevada, June 19, 1907, and they at once established their home in Nevada, where it has been continuously since. It was here that their three children, who with the wife and mother survive him, were born. The children are Lucy, now Mrs. John Roths of Belleville, Illinois; Alice, now Mrs. Homer Miller of St. Thomas N. D. and Leo B. Neasham, practicing attorney of Nevada. There are four grandchildren, they being Victoria Ann Miller and Frederick Lee, Richard Dean and John William Neasham.

Also surviving are the only sister Mrs. W. O. Ambrose of Wheaton, Illinois, and the brother John Henry Neasham of Ottumwa. The brother Thomas J. Neasham died a few years ago on his ranch near Edgemont, S. D.
