FREDRICK LA VERN MADISON

Frederick La Vern "Buss" Madison, 76, of 405 F Ave., Nevada, Ia., died Friday, July 12, 1985, at Story County Hospital, Nevada, Ia., after an illness of one year. Death was due to cancer.

He was born July 9, 1909, at Nevada, Ia. to Rasmus and Isabelle (Satre) Madison. He was married to Irene E. Sampson Nov 22, 1936, at Roland, Ia. She lives at 405 F Ave., Nevada, Ia.

Survivors include his wife, Irene; three daughters, Shirley Cotton of Illinois, Janice White of Huxley, Ia., Connie Ball of Ames, Ia.; two sons, Fred Madison of Cedar Rapids and Roger Madison of Nevada; one brother, Ivan Madison of Washington, and one sister, Irene Howell of New Sharon, Ia.; 11 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and two brothers.

He attended school at Nevada and Hollandale, Minn.

Mr. Madison was a retired professional painter for Iowa State University, and self employed. He was member of Memorial Lutheran Church of Nevada.

Memorial services will be at Chet Ryan Mortuary, 5th St. and G ave., Nevada, on Wednesday, July 17, at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Forrest Chaffee officiating.
