MICHELLE KAY SUTHERLAND

Michelle Kay Sutherland, 18, died Monday, May 27, 1985 in an auto accident north of Marshalltown. She was born August 18, 1966 to Gary and Bonnie Quinlan Sutherland in Marshalltown.

Michelle was a 1984 graduate of Marshalltown High School and was currently attending Marshalltown Community College. She was employed at Hy-Vee Food Store in Marshalltown.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Encore Music Group while in high school, a junior college cheerleader and a member of the Dynamics Music Group.

Survivors include her parents, Gary and Bonnie Sutherland; one brother, Michael of Marshalltown; one sister, Mrs. Bert (Kim) Wright of Marshalltown; a foster brother, Bryan Stone of Plymouth, Ia. and her fiance Steve Goettsch of Plano, Tx.; grandparents, Sprague Quinlan of Marshalltown and Harry and Wilma Sutherland of Nevada.

Services will be Thursday, May 30, 1985 at the First United Methodist Church in Marshalltown. Rev. Dennis Bailey will officiate. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marshalltown. Friends may call at the Pursel-Davis Funeral Home in Marshalltown until time of service.

A memorial fund is being established.
