HARRY E. SUTHERLAND

Harry E. Sutherland, 74, of 1034 1st St., Nevada IA, died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 1987, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines IA. Death was due to a heart ailment.

He was born Dec. 31, 1912, near Elwell IA to Charles and Pearl (Gross) Sutherland and lived in Story County IA his entire lifetime. He was married to Wilma Chitty Feb. 16, 1936, at State Center IA.

Survivors include his wife, Wilma; five sons, Gary of Marshalltown IA, Craig and Wendell of Nevada, Neil of Ames IA and Charles of Des Moines; a daughter, Sandra Ryan of Ames; 15 grandchildren and three great great grandchildren, and a brother, Leo Sutherland of Nevada.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and a granddaughter.

Mr. Sutherland was a member of the Nevada Assembly of God Church.

Funeral services will be held from the Nevada Assembly of God Church Saturday, Oct. 10, at 1 p.m. with Rev. Harry L. Cleveland officiating. Burial will be in Nevada Cemetery, Nevada.

Friends may call at the Chet Ryan Mortuary, 5th St. and G Ave., Nevada, where the family will meet friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9.
