M. ALBERT SANDMEIER 1892-1964

SUMMIT-Word was received here of the death of a longtime former resident of Otley, M. Albert Sandmeier, 72, on October 31, 1964 at Nevada. Ia.

Albert was born in Otley in 1892. His parents were Mr. and Mrs. John Sandmeier. "Sandy", as he was familiarly known in Otley studied telegraphy when a young man serving in this capacity in different railroad stations and served as depot agent in Otley for some 12 or 15 years.

Mr. Sandmeier. who died following a heart attack, is survived by his wife, Rebecca, two sons. Warren and John, and several grandchildren at Nevada. Funeral services were held Tuesday. Nov. 3, 1964 at the Ryan Funeral Home by Elder Bylander. Graveside services were in charge of the Masonic Lodge, with burial in Nevada Cemetery, Nevada, Iowa.
