John K. Peterson Dies at Home In Nevada Fri. A.M.

NEVADA—John K. Peterson. 72, of near Nevada, resident of Story, county for 50 years, died at his home here about 9 a. m. Friday following a stroke of apoplexy. He had been ill three days. . A native of Denmark, Mr. Peterson came to Story county about 50 years ago and settled on a farm west of Nevada. He was actively engaged in farming until 10 years ago, when he retired. Besides his wife, the former Martha Nelson, he is survived by three sons, Arthur' of Wisconsin, Soren of Winnebago, Minn., and Paul of Nevada and five daughters, Carrie Dial, Martha Johnson, Olga Sterns and Lillian Peterson of Nevada and Tena Piper, of Webster City. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at the Lutheran church here with the Rev. J. 0. Simon in charge. Burial will be in the Nevada cemetery.
