Abner L. Harlow

Abner L. Harlow, 79, of Nevada, died in the Long Term Care facility at Story County Hospital, Wednesday, Aug. 2, 1989. The cause of death was Alzheimer's Disease.

Harlow was born in Woodward, IA, on Oct 14, 1909 to Jacob R. Harlow and Minnie A. Miller. He married Opal L. Boten on April 1, 1939.

He retired in 1973 as a heavy euipment operator for Story County Road Maintenance after 33 years.

He was preceeded in death by his parents, son James R. Harlow, two brothers Olin and Robert, and two sister Ruth Coulson and Naomi Harlow.

Survivors include his wife, daughter Elizabeth A. Huff, of Nevada, three grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Services for Harlow were Aug. 5 at the Christian Church with Rev. Roy Sanders officiating.
