Infant Dies of Erysipelas

Joan Marie Fitzgerald, 2 months old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold N. Fitzgerald, died Monday, Sept. 7th at the home of her parents of erysipelas with the contributory cause being septic sore throat.

She is survived by her parents, fifteen-month-old twin brothers, Robert and Richard, paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Fitzgerald, and many other relatives.

Due to the nature of the diseases causing her death, no funeral services were held. Short services were had at the house for the immediate family Tuesday morning prior to burial at the cemetery at Colo, Ia. ~ Newspaper unknown, possibly The Des Moines Register or The Newton (IA) Daily News.
