Former Ames woman died

Mrs. Julia H. Gates died early Sunday in Denver, Colo. She formerly lived at 815 Grand Ave. and moved to Colorado in 1966.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. from Stevens Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Paul Hasel, Des Moines, officiating. Burial will be in Nevada Cemetery.

Mrs. Gates was preceded in death by her husband, Fred in 1954.

Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Robert Wilkening and two grandchildren, all of North Glen, Colo.
