Bryce C. Gonzales, 25, of Ames, Iowa, died Saturday, December 28, 2013, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames.

Bryce was born July 20, 1988, in Ames, Iowa, the son of Charles and Jill (Willett) Gonzales. He graduated from Ames High School in 2007 and from Iowa State University in December 2013 having earned a B.S. Degree in Forestry. Bryce was a member of the Nevada First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). He was involved and attended the Harvest Vineyard Fellowship in Ames. While in High School, Bryce earned his Eagle Scout Award in 2005.

Bryce is survived by his mother: Jill Willett (Randy Lundstrom) of Ames, Iowa; his father: Charles (Karen) Gonzales of Johnston, Iowa; his sister: Rachael (Christian) Noon of Portland, Oregon; his maternal grandfather: Robert Willett of Cedar Falls, Iowa; and his paternal grandmother: Margaret Gonzales of Waterloo, Iowa.

Bryce was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother: Liz Willett and his paternal grandfather: Rudy Gonzales.

Memorial services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, January 4, 2014, at the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Nevada (250 West E Avenue). Sharing and fellowship will follow the service.

Memorials may be made to the Bryce Gonzales Memorial Fund to be determined at a later date.

The Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada is handling arrangements.
