Cpl. Merle Kline Killed in Action On French Front

In a telegram from the War Department, Mrs. Merle Kline has been notified of the death of her husband n action somewhere in France on June 10. A letter containing details is to follow the wire.

Cpt. Kline entered service in Apri. 1942. He received his training at Camp Barkeley, Tex., and at Camp Cranite, Calif. From there he was sent to Fort Dix, New Jersey. he left from the latter point for overseas duty.

Cpl. Kline was married on November 21, 1942 to Marie Frette of Story City. Besides his wife he is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Kline, three brothers, Pvt. Lloyd Kline, Ronald and Wayne at home, and one sister, Mrs. Helen Myers of Clinton, Oklahoma.
