Died Nov. 5, 1998

Lois J. Harlow, 80, of Des Moines, died Nov. 1, 1998 at Mercy Hospital Medical Center from complications of renal failure.

Harlow was born in Richland Township, Story County, and had lived in Des Moines for 50 years. She was homemaker, valedictorian of her class at Fernald High School and a member of Union Park Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Donna (and Charlie) Soderquist of Des Moines; a brother, Joe Chitty of Mesa, Ariz; and a granddaughter, Amy (and Jon) Livesay of Orlando, Fla.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov. 5, at 2 p.m. at First Christian Church of Nevada. Burial will be in Nevada Municipal Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church of Nevada or Elks Lodge No. 98 Pleasant Hill.

Hamilton's Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
