Died Jan. 9, 1998

Bertha M. Opperman, 91, of Stuart, died of cancer at the Community Care Center in Stuart on Jan. 9.

She was born in Winterset, but she lived most of her life in Nevada. In 1964 she move d to Des Moines and lived there until 1996, when she moved to Stuart. She had been employed as a clerical worker at Donnelley Corporation in Nevada, retiring in 1963.

Survivors include a son, Duane Robinson of Des Moines; four grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 13, at Westover Funeral Home, Des Moines, and burial was in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Christ United Methodist Church in Des Moines.
