MRS. LULU CERKA

Funeral services for Mrs. Lulu Cerka, 78, Zearing were held Tuesday, Aug. 30 from the E.U.B. Church in Zearing with the Rev. Louis Klotzback officiating. Burial was in the Zearing Cemetery.

Born Aug. 18, 1882 at the Wickham Homestead north of Zearing, Mrs. Cerka died Aug. 27 at the Story County Hospital in Nevada. She was the youngest daughter of Horatio and Pauline Wickham.

She and Henry Cerka were married Dec. 25, 1904 at the Evangelical United Brethern Church in Zearing. The couple spent their entire married life on the farm near Zearing.

Pallbearers at the funeral were Dale Cook, C. F. Couser, Manley Dakins, Roy Chitty, Emery Krebs Sr. and Arthur Kleespie.

Survivors include two sons, Delos and Owen, living at home, a daughter, Mrs. Arthur Turner of Zearing, five grand children, and four great grandchildren. Fourteen brothers and sisters as well as her father and mother preceeding her in death. Her husband died in 1943.
