RALPH PADELLFORD

Ralph Mayo Padelford, 65, of Las Vegas NV, died Monday, Aug. 18, 1986, at University Medical Center in Las Vegas of lung cancer.

He was born June 28, 1921, at Nevada IA to Orrin Denny and Myrtle Mae (Mayo) Padellford.

He was married Jan. 26, 1940 to Helen Minear. He worked as a safety engineer at the Ames atomic energy plant at Iowa State University and retired in 1973.

He held the fourth degree, Knights of Columbus, and was a member of the Moose Lodge.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, at the Nevada Christian Church with Pastor Howdie Burnett officiating. Burial was in Nevada Cemetery.

Mr. Padellford's survivors include his wife, Helen of Las Vegas; a son, Phillip, of Reno NV; two daughters, Pamela Hilleman of Eden Prairie MN and Patrice Isreal of Linding IA; three sisters, Mildred McClellon of Perry IA, Viola Right of Guthrie Center IA and Lucille Freel of Boone IA, and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and three brothers.
