Mrs. Darmar Applegate, 80, Nevada, died at 12:45 p.m. Sunday at Story County Hospital where she had been a patient about six weeks.

Born in Story County the daughter of Lars and Mary Jensen, Mrs. Applegate had been a resident of the county her entire lifetime.

She married V. I. Applegate in 1902. She was a member of the Evangelical Untied Brethren Church, Nevada.

Mrs. Applegate is survived by a son, Donald, Nevada; three daughters, Mrs. Verda Purvis and Mrs. Vivian Graham, both of Des Moines, and Mrs. Helen Robinson, Colo; a brother, Lloyd Jensen, Nevada; three sisters, Mrs. Alma Applegate, Los Applegate, Los Angeles , Calif., Mrs. Rose Stratton, Nevada and Mrs. Myrtle Farren, Colo; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and two great-greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, who died in 1960, a son, two brothers and a granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the Ryan Funeral Home, with the Rev. Robert Link, pastor of the Evangelical United Brethren Church, officiating. Burial will be in Nevada Cemetery.
