GEORGE C. TRIMBLE

George C. Trimble, 78, of Raleigh NC, died Aug. 16, 1988 at Rex Hospital in Raleigh.

Cause of death was a pulmonary embolism. He had been ill several years.

He was born July 29, 1910, at Eldora IA to Loyd and Sylvia (Readout) Trimble. He had been a resident of Raleigh since 1968.

He was married to Opal White, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Enoch White.

Survivors include his wife, Opal; his mother, Sylvis Trimble, and a sister, all of Raleigh; a brother, Donald Trimble of Albuquerque NM, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Loyd Trimble.

After graduating from Iowa State University in 1940, Mr. Trimble went to work with Rath Packing Co. at Waterloo IA. He moved to Raleigh NC in 1943 and in 1952 moved back to Waterloo. He retired from Rath Packing Co. in 1968 as national sales manager for smoked meat.

He was a active deacon at Western Boulevard Presbyterian Church.

The body has been cremated. Interment will be at a later in the Nevada Cemetery at Nevada IA.

Chet Ryan Mortuary, 5th St. and G Ave., Nevada, is in charge of arrangements.
