Victor E. Lura, 75, Story City, died Tuesday evening about 7 p.m. at his home.
Funeral services are tentatively set for Friday at 2 p.m. from St. Petri Lutheran Church with the Rev. Rhuben O. Aga officiating. Burial will be in the Roland Cemetery.
Mr. Lura was born Jan. 4, 1898 on a farm southwest of Roland. He married Mamie Jacobson Feb. 19, 1926. They farmed near Gilbert for 16 years and then moved to a farm north of Roland in 1942. In 1963, they retired and moved to Story City.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Josephine Elenor Lura, Des Moines, Mrs. Harris Twedt, Jr., Roland and Mrs. Alice Arlene Jack of Klamath Falls, Ore.; a son, Eugene Lura, Ellsworth; 10 grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Cora Teig, Oskaloosa and Edna Lura, Santa Rosa, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his parents, H. H. and Ellen Lura; four brothers and three sisters.
The Soderstrum Larson Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.
