Lester Severeide rites are Friday

Lester E. Severeide, 65, Gilbert, died today at Mary Greeley Hospital.

Funeral services will be Friday at 1 p.m. from Stevens Memorial Chapel with Rev. Robert Hutson of St. Andrews Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in the Story City Cemetery.

Mr. Severeide was born Sept. 19, 1907 at Story City. He married Evvie Mae Christensen Oct. 25, 1933 in Story City.

He worked for the Atomic Energy Commission for 20 years.

Mr. Severeide is a member of St. Andrews Lutheran Church and has lived in Gilbert for the past four years.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Shirley Thrasher, Gilbert; two grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Julia Ostrem, Story City.

Friends may call at Stevens Memorial Chapel Thursday afternoon and evening.
