Mrs. Emma Anton died here today
Mrs. Emma J. Anton, 73, 1425 Marston Ave., died at her home today.
Funeral services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. from Ascension Lutheran Church, Ames, with the Rev. James W. Asp officiating. Burial will be in the Story Memorial Garden Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Adams Funeral Home from Sunday after noon until Monday noon.
Mrs. Anton was born July 8, 1898 in Story County and has been a lifetime resident of this area. She married Herbert H. Anton in 1925 at Webster City. She was a member of the Ascension Lutheran Church, Dorcas Guild, and the Post Office Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband, Herbert; a daughter, Mrs. Richard Coy, 2417 Duff Ave.; a brother, Clarence Johnson, Albert Lea, Minn.; her sister, Mrs. Carl Knutson, 1015 Carroll Ave., and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Marjorie Hope Anton, in 1951, three brothers and five sisters.
