B. "Joann" Harsha, 78 of Nevada, formerly of Marshalltown died on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at the Story County Senior Care. No public services are planned. Private family graveside services will be held at a later date at the Riverside Cemetery in Marshalltown.

Joann was born on August 31, 1935 in Unionville, MO to Jesse B. and Ida A. (English) Conger. She was united in marriage to Jim Dale Harsha. Joann was known for her baking of the "Mile High" Lemon Meringue pies at Stone's Restaurant in Marshalltown.

Joann is survived by two sons Mark (Lori) Harsha of Marshalltown and Bob (Judy) Harsha of Pooler, GA; a daughter Carol (Lars) Dunn of Nevada; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister Lucille Seavey of Toledo.

Joann was preceded in death by her parents, Jim in 2002, and a brother Jack Conger during the Korean Conflict.

A memorial fund has been established in loving memory of Joann.

Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada has been entrusted with the care of Joann and her family.
