Mary F. Grijalva, 96 of State Center died on Sunday, November 3, 2013 at the State Center Nursing and Rehab Center. No public services are planned.

Mary was born on October 25, 1917 in Mexico to Pablo and Geronima (Avila) Fernandez. She moved to State Center two years ago to be near her daughter, Betty Schoondyke of Nevada. Other survivors include a son Daniel Garcia of Buckeye, AZ, two other daughters Rachel Huveldt of Los Gatos, CA, and Virginia Macias of Peoria, AZ; seven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother and three sisters.

A memorial fund has been established in loving memory of Mary for the State Center Nursing and Rehab Center in State Center.

Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada has been entrusted with the care of Mary and her family.
