Keith Row Cherryholmes
Aug. 4, 1917 to July 17, 1997

Keith Row Cherryholmes, 79, of Hiawatha, died Thursday, July 17 at the Manor Care Nursing and Rehab Center, Cedar Rapids, after a long illness. Specific cause of death was not listed.

He was born to Loyal and Elva (Moats) Cherryholmes on Aug. 4, 1917, in Corydon.

On May 1, 1982, he married Ruth R. Anthony in Cedar Rapids. He was an Army Veteran of World War II and was employed at Donnelley Marketing for 28 years before retiring. He attended Oakland Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth; two sons, Dr. Keith, of White Bear Lake, Minn., and Craig, of Burlington, Wash.; a daughter, Marla Tendall, of Indianola; three brothers, Lloyd, of Des Moines, Arthur and Burl, both of Cedar Rapids; two sisters, Martha Smith and Francis Prather, both of Russell; seven grandchildren; a great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a grandchild.

Funeral services were held Monday, July 21, at Oakland Church of the Nazarene in Cedar Rapids with the Rev. Paul Miller officiating. Burial was in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established. Murdoch funeral Home, Marion, handled arrangements.
